• Question: Do u work alone?

      It varies with each day. Sometimes I work alone if I’m making computer models and other times I work as part of a team. The teamwork usually involves conducting experiments in our lab and writing research papers together to summarise what we discovered.

      I do sometimes sit down and work on something on my own for a few hours at a time. However its very rare that I spend a lot of time working on my own. Usually I’m discussing things with my workmates or debating things over a white board! There comes a time when you have to write things up and get the designs captured either in a computer programme or just on paper.
      Engineering is very collaborative because its impossible for one person to know everything.

      I work as part of a team but can spend periods of time on my own. Like today for example, everyone else is out on missions of one variety or another so I am holding the fort and making sure we have continuity in our operations. Other days it may be me out and about – these are my favourite days 🙂
