• Question: Did you like being a property renovator in France, since you'd wanted to be an architect beforehand? And also, did you have to learn French or did you already know it?

Go question. I loved being a property renovator – possibly one of more rewarding careers, and I was really good at it. It definitely allowed me the freedom of design that I would have had if I was an architect, except it was my money I was spending to create amazing spaces rather then someone elses! I did GCSE French, but wasn’t very good at it. In fact I told my French teacher I didn’t see the point in learning French seeing as I’ve never been there. Luckily for me, the French teacher didn’t kick me out and persevered.
