• Question: When you were younger, did you ever think that this is what your future would be like?

      No way. For a start I should own a flying car by now.

      When I was a kid, even reaching the year 20o0 seemed like it was going to happen when I was old. But that was 16 years ago and I still have a long life to live!

      Besides my Dad was an electrical engineer, and there is absolutely no way I am going to do what my Dad did….. oh hang on a minute……

      Absolutely not! I always thought my future would be in the RAF as a pilot, flying fast jets or helicopters. Never did I think for one minute that I would become an engineer, mainly because I didn’t know what an engineer was or what they did as a job. Being a pilot was all I ever thought about.

      Unfortunately though there are some things in life that you can’t change no matter how much you want them to. For me this was the fact that I was too small to be a pilot : ( This meant that I had to re-think what I wanted to do as a career, which was a really difficult decision to make. Luckily I had some good advice from the college tutor and I have never looked back since : )
