      Hi Everyone.

      I know it is a bit of a mouthful so an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation engineer is often abbreviated to an EC&I Engineer which is what my role is.

      In essence, an EC&I Engineer is responsible for three distinct areas.

      Electrical: anything on site that has electricity running through it, into it of from it.
      Control: I am responsible for making sure plant processes can be controlled within limits by valves and machines and other equipment.

      Instrumentation: another speciality area, I am responsible for all instrumentation on site to be accurate, working and often provide safety critical operation.

      But don’t worry, I might be ultimately responsible but I have a team of fantastic Technicians who help with all of the hard work. It is very interesting too!
