      Hi Rory,

My job isn’t very dangerous as I am mainly based in the office so I haven’t been injured whilst doing my job. When I do get chance to get out of the office and visit the Naval dockyards you are issued with Personal, Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a hard hat and steel toe capped boots to lower the risk of you being hurt (mainly banging your head when inside the submarine as it’s pretty cramped!).

Health and Safety at work is a pretty big deal for all companies. There is a law called the Health and Safety at Work Act, which means that the company and you as an individual are responsible for ensuring that people don’t get hurt whilst they are at work.
