• Question: do you want to be an engineer untill you retire or look into other things?

      This is a really good question. Retirement is quite a long way off for me, about 30 years, so that’s a long way to look into the future. I definitely know that I was to be an engineer for at least the next 10 years. The best thing about engineering is that there are loads of different projects to work on and different roles that you can do, that all require the same skills. So whilst I might still be an engineer in the next 10 years I might have moved to working on trains for instance instead of submarines.

      Retirement is still a long way away! I would love to keep being an engineer until I get bored, but that’s not likely to happen any time soon.
