• Question: Do you think it is necessary to get a masters degree in Nuclear Engineering?

      Hi,

      I don’t think that it is necessary to have a degree to get into engineering, as there are lots of different routes in, like an apprenticeship for instance.

      I think that if you do choose to do a degree at University then it is worth considering a masters degree I wouldn’t say that you need one to get an engineering job. Also, the degree doesn’t have to necessarily be specific to nuclear. For instance I studied Aerospace Engineering, which is all about designing aircraft, but I now use the skills I learnt in my degree and apply it to nuclear power plants instead 🙂
